Prof Jürgen Beck studied at the Medical School, Ludwig-Maximilians University (LMU), Munich and Harvard Medical School, Boston and graduated in 1998 with a Degree in Medicine summa cum laude.
He then went on to receive specialised training in neurosurgery at the Institute for Surgical Research, LMU Munich. He became a specialist registrar (Facharzt) in Neurosurgery in 2006 and worked at the University of Frankfurt and Inselspital, Universitätsspital Bern. Prof Beck has been the Medical Director of the Department of Neurosurgery, Medical Center – University of Freiburg since 2018.
His main research interests are in neuro-oncology, neurovascular disorders, epilepsy, intracranial haemorrhage, vasospasm, and CSF-dynamics.

Dr Vincent Chan is a Consultant in the Department of Neuroradiology at the National Neuroscience Institute, where he contributes daily to the education of residents in the national radiology residency program. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the National University Hospital.
Dr Chan has authored several book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is passionate about medical education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, holding several university teaching positions in the local medical schools, and is Deputy Director of Medical Student Education in the Radiological Sciences Academic Clinical Programme (ACP). In 2024, he was awarded the SingHealth Outstanding Faculty Award by the Radiological Sciences ACP. In addition to his educational roles, Dr Chan has a keen interest in medical innovation and is currently leading a team to develop a game relating to safety and education in radiology. Through these works, he aims to support the development of future medical professionals and integrate new technologies into medical training.

Dr Chen is board certified in the USA with a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Neuroradiology and is currently Head of Department of Neuroradiology at SGH.

Dr Tomas Dobrocky is a specialist in radiology with a focus on interventional neuroradiology and has been a senior physician at the Department of Neuroradiology at Inselspital, Bern, Switzerland since 2018.
As part of his specialisation in the field of interventional neuroradiology, Dr Dobrocky completed a fellowship at the Toronto Western Hospital in Toronto, Canada, under Prof Timo Krings and Prof Vitor Pereira, and at the Fondation Rothschild in Paris, France, under Prof Michel Piotin. Among others, his research interests include diagnostic workup and minimally invasive treatment of patients with cerebrospinal fluid loss syndrome. Dr Dobrocky's publication list includes more than 120 original papers, reviews, and book chapters.

Dr. James Hallinan has been practicing in Singapore since 2008 and is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, National University Hospital, Singapore. Currently the head of the Musculoskeletal (MSK) division, and previously in charge of MRI, Dr. Hallinan obtained his medical degree (MBChB) from Bristol University, United Kingdom, and underwent radiology training at the National University Hospital, Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, United Kingdom, with subspecialty interests in musculoskeletal and neuroradiology.
He completed his subspecialist training in musculoskeletal MRI at UC San Diego under Professor Donald Resnick in 2018. Dr. Hallinan is part of the 'Spine AI' team, focusing on artificial intelligence to support clinical diagnosis in MRI and CT spine imaging. He has been awarded NMRC grants as principal investigator for imaging AI, including the NMRC New Investigator Grant (CS-IRG-NIG, 2021) titled “Deep Learning Pathway for the Management of Spine Metastases” and the NMRC Clinician Innovator Award (2023) titled “Deep Learning Pipeline for Augmented Reporting of MRI Whole Spine.”

Prof Johannes Kaesmacher was trained at the Technical University Munich. Currently, he works at the University Institute of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology as well as the University Institute of Diagnostic, Interventional and Pediatric Radiology at the University Hospital Bern, Switzerland. He is involved in the research group “Acute stroke interventions and hyperacute imaging” at the Stroke Research Center, Bern. His research focuses on the value of thrombolysis in contemporary mechanical thrombectomy and endovascular stroke treatment in borderline indication groups.

Dr Kee Tze Phei is a Consultant Neuroradiologist and Neurointerventionalist in the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI). She has experience working in various clinical departments including Emergency Medicine and Neurosurgery prior to joining Neuroradiology and General Radiology. During her years in residency, she underwent training in both diagnostic and interventional radiology and received the annual RiSE Outstanding Resident Awards from 2018 to 2020. She obtained post-graduate qualifications in both surgery (MRCS) and radiology (FRCR, MMed). After graduating from the SingHealth Radiology Residency Programme in 2020, she joined the Department of Neuroradiology in NNI as an Associate Consultant and was subsequently promoted to Consultant in Nov 2022. She is also a Visiting Consultant in the National University Hospital.
Dr Kee specialises in both Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology. She received a year of clinical fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology, Toronto Western Hospital, under the guidance of Prof Timo Krings from June 2023 to May 2024. Her special interest is in neurovascular intervention, including endovascular treatment of hyperacute stroke, aneurysms, and vascular malformations. Dr Kee has published multiple interesting research articles in the field of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School as well as a faculty member of the SingHealth Radiology Residency Programme. She continues to share her knowledge and experience in local, regional, and international conferences and courses.

Dr Khoo Hau Wei is a Consultant Radiologist at the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He obtained his post-graduate qualifications in Radiology (FRCR and MMed) in 2018. He has a special interest in head and neck imaging and has completed a visiting fellowship at Leiden University Medical Centre, the Netherlands. He is also a Core Clinical Faculty Member of the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Residency Programme and was awarded the NHG Teaching Award for Senior Doctors in 2024.

Dr Krings is an expert in neurovascular diseases, with a focus on aneurysms, brain vascular malformations, epilepsy imaging, and stroke. He has published over 460 peer-reviewed articles, approximately 30 book chapters, and 4 books on topics including spinal, paediatric, and interventional neuroradiology. His current research aims to predict brain bleeding from vascular malformations, develop novel treatment methods, and evaluate treatment effectiveness to improve healthcare outcomes.

Dr Lee Chung-Wei is chief of Interventional Radiology in the Department of Medical Imaging, National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH), and vice director of the Department of Medical Imaging, National Taiwan University Cancer Center (NTUCC). He is proficient in both interventional neuroradiology (INR) and interventional radiology (IR) and is in charge of INR training in the NTUH health system. His recent work focuses on endovascular thrombectomy (EVT), aneurysms, and treatment of vascular malformations and fistulas.

Dr Wickly Lee graduated with an MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1993 and subsequently pursued neuroradiology subspecialty training in 2004. In addition to post-graduate qualifications of MMed (Diag Rad) and FRCR, he also underwent a year of Neurointerventional training in Budapest, Hungary, in 2006. Dr Lee won the SingHealth Outstanding Faculty Award in Diagnostic Radiology in 2021. He is currently the National Neuroscience Institute of Singapore's Director of the Joint Neurovascular Service.
Dr Lee is professionally interested in the treating of cerebral and spinal vascular conditions (aneurysms, arterio-venous malformations, dural arteriovenous fistulas, and interventional treatment of head and neck vascular abnormalities). Additionally, his interests include clinical services, research, and acute stroke intervention. He is passionate about imparting his knowledge by teaching fellows and residents.

Dr Lim Kheng Choon is a Senior Consultant Radiologist and Director of Brain & Spine Imaging with the Department of Neuroradiology in SGH, as well as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School. He has special interests in neuro-oncology and advanced MRI techniques and completed his HMDP fellowship on Advanced Neuroradiology Imaging and Imaging Informatics with the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Department of Radiology.
His current research involves AI applications in radiology imaging as well as advanced MR applications for brain tumours. He has held various appointments such as Department Quality Officer, Deputy Director of Clinical Operations, and Deputy Director of MRI Service. He was also the recipient of the Singhealth Publish! Award (Outstanding) and previously won 2nd Prize in the Singhealth Duke-NUS Research Team Awards. Dr Lim graduated from the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in 2011 and obtained his FRCR and MMed (Diagnostic Radiology) in 2015.

Dr Eike Immo Piechowiak is a specialist in radiology with a focus on diagnostic and invasive neuroradiology and has been head physician at the University Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at Inselspital in Bern since 2022.
He is also head of Neuro MRI and is responsible for diagnostic procedures and minimally invasive imaging-guided interventions on the spine. After studying medicine at the University of Freiburg, Germany, Dr Piechowiak completed his residency in radiology at the University Hospital Marburg, Germany, and at the Institute of Radiology at the Inselspital Bern.
There, he subsequently specialised in diagnostic and especially interventional neuroradiology under the direction of Prof Jan Gralla, MD. He was also able to deepen his experience with minimally invasive spinal interventions during a clinical activity at the Cantonal Hospital Lugano under Prof Alessandro Cianfoni. His main research interests are imaging and interventional therapy of cerebrospinal fluid loss syndrome as well as minimally invasive treatment and diagnostics of ischaemic stroke.

Dr Saravana Kumar Swaminathan is a clinical assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and a consultant at the National Neuroscience Institute's Department of Neuroradiology.
After graduating from medical school in India in 2011, Dr Saravana relocated to Singapore to pursue his post-graduate training in Radiology. He obtained his MMed (Diag Rad) and FRCR (Fellow of the Royal College of Radiology) degrees in 2015, as well as the EDiR (European Diploma in Radiology) and began working as a specialist radiologist since August 2018.
Dr Saravana further subspecialised in Interventional and Diagnostic Neuroradiology and obtained the EDiNR (European Diploma in Neuro-Radiology) as well as EDiINR (European Diploma in Interventional Neuro-Radiology). He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) scholarship in 2020 by the Ministry of Health and underwent a clinical fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at the renowned Toronto Western Hospital – University of Toronto, Canada, under the tutelage of Prof Timo Krings.
Dr Saravana’s subspecialty interest lies in minimally invasive endovascular treatment of various vascular disorders of the brain and spine including stroke, aneurysms, arteriovenous shunts, as well as carotid artery and intracranial stenosis.
Dr Saravana won several RiSE accolades, including Outstanding Resident, Quality Improvement Project, and Outstanding Performance. He also won the Young Investigator Award in 2015 at the Asian Congress of Abdominal Radiology.

Dr Sughrue grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, and after attending medical school at Columbia University in New York, he completed his neurosurgery training at the University of California at San Francisco.
After completing a fellowship in Sydney, Australia, he served as Director of the Brain Tumor Center at the University of Oklahoma for 7 years.
He has authored over 300 scientific publications and 4 textbooks.
He moved to Sydney in 2018, and founded Omniscient Neurotechnology, an artificial intelligence startup company aimed at radically accelerating the evolution of our understanding of human brain disease and mental illness, bringing these technologies to the clinic more rapidly.

Prof István Szikora is a prominent figure in the field of neurointerventions. He first started as an anaesthesiologist in 1977 but found his passion in radiology and began his journey as a neuroradiologist in 1984 which further catapulted his career into neurointerventions.
He has served as the Head of the Department of Neurointerventions at the National Institute of Mental Health, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Budapest, Hungary, and has been involved with Semmelweis University Medical School as the Chairman of the Department Section of Neurointerventions.
Additionally, he was the President of the European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT) from 2014 to 2016. His recent achievement also sees him spearheading the use of artificial intelligence software in Hungary - the first country in the world to deploy a nationwide stroke prevention software.
He has published 137 scientific papers and is distinctly famous for his vast clinical research experience with flow diversion treatment of intracranial aneurysms.
Prof Szikora is currently a Senior Consultant Neurointerventionist at the Department of Neurointerventions, Semmelweis University and the Head of the Cerebrovascular Flow Dynamics Research Laboratory, National Institute of Mental Health, Neurology and Neurosurgery. His passion in imparting his knowledge and teaching fellows and residents is widely acknowledged.

A/Prof Tan Tiong Yong graduated with an MBBS from the National University of Singapore in April 1985 and obtained his FRCR (UK) in April 1992. He then went on to receive training in head and neck radiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) from May 1992 to February 1995 before embarking on his Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) scholarship at the University of Utah Medical Center from March to May 1995.
A/Prof Tan has been a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore since 1997 and served as head of the Radiology Department in Changi General Hospital (CGH) from Oct 2004 to April 2010. He is currently a senior consultant with the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at CGH as well as a visiting consultant at TTSH, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, and Singapore General Hospital, training radiologists and providing consultations to ENT surgeons.

Dr Joanna Pearly Ti is a Senior Consultant Neuroradiologist, Department of Neuroradiology, at the National Neuroscience Institute. She graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland/Penang Medical College in 2003 and completed radiology training in Dublin, Ireland in 2010. These were followed by fellowship appointments in both Interventional Neuroradiology at University of Illinois, Chicago and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago. Dr Ti has an interest in vascular disorders of the brain, including aneurysms and acute stroke.

Dr. Clement Yong is a Senior Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist at the National University Hospital. Since his move to Singapore, he has been working at the National University Hospital, where he now heads the Neuroimaging division.

Dr Yu has received multiple awards for her educational contributions.
